In the following sections, my current preference is shown in red.  However, these are all pretty close...

Most of the models below are based on talking with Vicki from Bradlee Distributors.

Refrigerator

The following picture shows three options being considered:

  1. A single side-by-side refrigerator/freezer.  Pros: simplicity; no bending down.  Cons: one door opens in the wrong direction.
  2. A narrower refridgerator/freezer, plus a two-drawer freezer beside it. Pros: most heavily-used freezer just below the microwave :-), a bit more freezer space.  Cons: two units, more cost, uses up space beneath counter (but maybe saves width overall?).
  3. Like #2, but refrigerator is even narrower, and there's a separate fridge in the island, probably for drinks etc.  Pros: fridge near living room, more compact (than #2) in pantry area.  Cons: space fragmented among three units, more noise, more cost.

Requirements: fridge space > 15 CF, freezer space > 9 CF, ice maker.

Dishwasher

TBD.  (E.g. KitchenAid KUDS25SH -- seen at Arnold's Appliances).  Need to check reliability & noise level.

Washer/Dryer

Frigidaire FWT449GFS (W) and FSE748GFS (D) -- seen at Arnold's Appliances.  Need to check reliability etc.
